What is RSS?
If you are reading this blog with a web browser, it’s worth considering using an RSS reader instead.
If you like this blog, chances are pretty good you will also like reading other blogs on the Internet. Since it’s possible that this or other blogs can go weeks or longer without publishing a new post, with a web browser you have little choice but to check them all one at a time, possibly on a daily basis. An RSS reader will do this for you automatically, meaning you only have to check once and see all of your blogs for that day in one place.
At it’s simplest, some web browsers like Firefox will let you read an RSS feed with a ‘live bookmark’. To use this feature, simply click on the bottom right corner of your browser when viewing the main page of this blog.
A more sophisticated approach would be to use an online service like Bloglines or use one of the many RSS readers that can be installed directly on your computer.
